Back in the day, when the expression ‘bike packing’ did not yet exist, I rode my bike to Denmark from home in The Netherlands. A few years after, my wife (then girlfriend) and I took the ferry over to the UK and cycled from Hull, across the North York Mores NP to Yorkshire Dales NP, then on to the Lake District, across to Berwick-upon-tweed and back down to Hull. 

This year we decided to take the kids on a cycling trip in England – from Harwich to Wells-next-the-sea, then to Cambridge and back to Harwich. It rained every day and I don’t think the kids will ever go one a bike packing holiday again..
