Pesta Babi is Indonesian for ‘Pig Feast’. It is also a slang expression used by activists to describe the moment politicians and corporations celebrate securing an extraction deal at the expense of the environment. All of this can be watched in the documentary by the same name.
Pesta Babi is a handmade protest font. I used black gouache paint (palm oil free) and a stiff brush to get the eroded effect. It is a very distinct and legible font, ideal for protest signs, pamphlets and book covers!
